Very good kitchen. Great ambience. Nice staff and nice boss. We had a great cordon bleu and a delicious trout. The trout potatoes weren't enough. Unfortunately there weren't any more in the kitchen. The mashed potatoes that were delivered later were homemade and good but unfortunately very salty. That was surely an accident.

We went to eat spontaneously, it was made possible for us despite a wedding. Very friendly staff and a great boss. The food was just great. Always my pleasure.

Good middle-class local fare in a nice rustic setting with extremely friendly service. But what more could you expect if the ambience and the associated staff are right. I don't know any better food and service than I've experienced in the past five years, in keeping with the ambience. This explains why I can spend two weeks here twice a year.

Absolutely delicious food and the service was very friendly. I deduct one point because a few things went wrong on my second visit. But that definitely doesn't reduce the quality of the food. I would still recommend the restaurant to others. However, a table reservation should be made in advance.

Lovingly run family business. The cuisine is excellent and the prices are perfectly reasonable. Also highly recommended as a hotel. One of my favorite restaurants in the world, not least because of the friendly nature of the staff.

A really nice restaurant with great food (the rump steak was extremely tasty) and very attentive service. The prices are okay and in any case appropriate to the level of the food. We therefore give a clear recommendation.

Nice and attentive service. The menu is rich in local cuisine. I had roe deer slices with spaetzle - very well prepared and filled me up. The Corona measures are implemented, but the mask of the service staff always slipped towards the chin ... well, there are worse things. By the way, dogs are welcome, which is not always the case around here!

The 4th of us went to eat there yesterday. The food was okay but nothing more. The bad thing was, the Corona requirements were not in the least complied with, you sit on top of each other like oil sardines. Follow pictures. You don't feel well!

Got the tip from a local I spoke to on the street and he was right. Here you can eat very well in a cozy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. At 34 ° I opted for the dining room. There is also a terrace. When I'm around again, I know where to have my meal.

My fiancé and I went spontaneously for a night to the Black Forest. Sadly we timed this getaway smack bang in the middle of a 10 day cleanse of sorts so what can eat was VERY limited. We were staying down the road from the Waldeck (now that we know about the Waldeck we will be coming back and staying here), I saw on trip advisor it was the best restaurant in town. So we came in and explained to our waitress our dietary restrictions and she took me in hand to come meet the chef and talk to him! She escorted me to the kitchen where the wonderful chef (into) asked what we could eat, what we couldn’t and which meat we preferred. He then prepared a TRULY DELICIOUS appetizer and main course for us. Turns out our waitress was the owner of the hotel! Could not have hoped for better or friendlier service or a better meal! Will be coming back here again to stay with our new friends!!!!
